Job summary

HireGrowth Executive Search Group is seeking an AVP Underwriter for construction casualty to lead underwriting of midmarket exposures in the Northeast.

Roles include evaluating submissions, underwriting W/C, GL, and Auto, and building strong broker relationships across the Northeast to drive growth. This is a Jersey City or Morristown based opportunity.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of underwriting construction industry segments.
• Strong knowledge of General Liability, W/C, and Auto coverages.
• Expertise in guaranteed cost construction business ideal.
• Retail brokerage network base in the Northeast territory required.

Assistant Vice President (AVP), Underwriter Construction Casualty

We are seeking an experienced AVP Underwriter to underwrite midmarket construction casualty business. This role blends technical expertise, relationship management, and strategic sales execution to drive profitable growth. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate new and renewal submissions, identifying exposures and structuring tailored guaranteed cost construction business
• Underwrite W/C, General Liability and Auto coverage
• General Contractors, Specialty Trades, Heavy Construction, etc.,.
• Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage terms; develop and present competitive proposals
• Build and maintain strong relationships with retail brokers in the Northeast territory
• Drive new business through strategic positioning and pipeline development
