Qualifications

• System Safety Engineering or related field
• Able to present to teams or groups
• Proven collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Subsystem Design Teams to learn ARL system design and operation
• Perform MIL-STD-882E safety analyses (PHAs, FHAs, RHAs, SHAs, Software SAL, etc.)
• Assess engineering documents for safety compliance and mitigate hazards
• Participate in anomaly investigations, failure review boards, and root-cca analyses
• Coordinate with US Navy counterparts to ensure delivery of a safe product
• Communicate with government personnel and sponsors to address safety requirements
