Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science with relevant experience.
  • Experience working with DoD safety processes and MIL-STD-882E is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Subsystem Design Teams to learn ARL systems.
  • Perform safety analyses per MIL-STD-882E (PHAs, FHAs, safety analyses).
  • Assess engineering docs to ensure system safety compliance; mitigate hazards.
  • Participate in anomaly investigations, failure review boards, and root-cause analyses.
  • Collaborate with USN counterparts to deliver a safe product.
  • Brief WSESRB panels and program personnel on safety requirements.
