Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician II to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utility lines and pipes. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in field conditions.

You will receive 811 tickets, read utility maps, and document work using digital devices while maintaining high accuracy and safety standards. This is a full-time, on-site field role based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of line locating experience.
• Must provide OQ training documentation and meet OQ requirements.
• Ability to read maps, prints, and tickets safely.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English for safety.
• Valid driver’s license and driving compliance.
• Ability to document work with digital devices.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete work tickets from the 811 system.
• Read and interpret utility maps and work tickets.
• Identify, locate, and mark underground utilities with color codes.
• Use hand tools to pinpoint utilities as needed.
• Document completed work with cameras, tablets, or laptops.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate questions or field issues to the supervisor.
