Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician II to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utilities. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in varying field conditions.

You will handle 811 tickets, read maps, use locating equipment, and document results while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. This full-time role offers outdoor exposure across field sites and a strong emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license and meeting company driving requirements.
• 2–4 years of line locating experience.
• Documentation of Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) training.
• Ability to read/write/understand English sufficiently for safety.
• Ability to read utility maps, prints, and tickets.
• Ability to safely operate locating equipment and field devices.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and complete work tickets from the 811 system.
• Read and interpret utility maps and tickets showing underground utilities.
• Identify location of underground utilities using locating equipment.
• Accurately mark locations with color‑coded markings.
• Document completed work using digital devices.
• Follow safety procedures and report issues to supervision.
