Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician II to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utilities in field environments. You will interpret maps and tickets, use locating equipment, and document activities using digital tools, while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires 2–4 years of line locating experience, the ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and a strong attention to detail. A valid driver’s license and OQ training documentation are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and driving requirements
• 2–4 years of line locating experience
• OQ training documentation and OQ compliance
• Ability to read maps, prints, and technical docs
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret utility maps and tickets for underground utilities
• Locate and mark position and type of utilities with color-coded markings
• Operate locating equipment and use maps to identify underground lines
• Document work using digital cameras, laptops, tablets and other devices
• Follow safety procedures and report field issues to supervisor
• Communicate with customers and team members professionally
• Complete tasks within established timeframes
