Bermex is seeking a Line Locator Technician to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utilities. You will work under the Project Manager, performing field tasks in varying conditions with attention to safety and detail.

Responsibilities include reading utility maps, completing tickets, and documenting work using digital devices. The role emphasizes independent field work and reliable collaboration with the team and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clear record per company policy.
• No prior line locating experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• Able to read/write/understand English to safely perform duties.
• Able to follow written/verbal instructions and maps.
• Able to document work using digital devices.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Line locating, reading maps, and marking underground utilities.
• Complete work tickets from the 811 system.
• Document completed work and maintain safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team; escalate safety or field issues as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers and the public.
• Perform duties with attention to safety and regulatory requirements.
