Job summary

USIC is seeking a Locator to locate and mark underground utilities in designated areas. You will work independently in the field using a company vehicle, performing thorough searches and documenting each locate with photos. The role requires a safety-focused mindset and the ability to handle overtime and on-call shifts.

No prior locating experience is required, but training is provided; strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to succeed in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
• Able to pass a drug screen as this is safety-sensitive work.
• Proficient reading of locate tickets and maps.
• Clear communication with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently.
• Mark locations and document each locate with photos.
• Work daytime, full-time with overtime/on-call shifts as needed.
