Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician to detect and mark underground utility lines and pipes across diverse sites. The role requires reading maps, using sensing equipment, and marking locations with color-coded spray paint.

You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and must handle physical activity while adhering to safety guidelines. 2–4 years of line locating experience and a valid driver's license are required, with OQ training certificates to be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have 2–4 years of line locating experience and provide OQ certificates.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret utility maps for underground utilities.
• Locate underground lines using magnetic sensing equipment and maps.
• Mark locations with color-coded spray paint for utility types.
• Follow Utility, State and Federal guidelines for line marking.
• Provide records of work with digital camera and laptop.
• Communicate with supervision and management per procedures.
