Job summary

Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Line Locator Technician III to accurately detect, locate, and mark underground utilities. This role requires attention to detail, safety focus, and ability to work independently in varying field conditions.

You will read utility maps and tickets, use locating equipment, document work, and communicate with customers. Requires 5+ years of experience and OQ training documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company policy.
• 5+ years of line locating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, tickets, and technical docs.
• Ability to safely operate locating equipment and field tools.
• Ability to use phones, tablets, laptops for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Detect, locate, and mark underground utilities with accuracy.
• Read and interpret maps and 811 tickets.
• Record completed work using digital devices and documentation.
• Maintain safety and comply with state/federal requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Escalate issues to supervisor as needed.
