Job summary

United Utility Services is seeking a full-time Project Manager with at least five years of project management experience in underground utilities to lead diverse projects in the Houston area and beyond. You will oversee estimating to closeout, coordinate multiple disciplines, manage schedules and budgets, and travel regionally including the Southeast and Florida as needed.

The role requires strong communication, mentoring, and adherence to safety and quality standards while delivering projects

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in underground utilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of projects from estimating to construction closeout including but not limited to bidding, procurement, project controls, constructability reviews, material management, pre-construction, construction management, financial tracking and budgeting, progress meetings, final walk throughs, and final closeout.
• Direct and coordinate activities of several disciplines on a project of moderate scope and/or a combination of smaller projects.
• Promote open and continuous communication between various customers, departments, and personnel.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
• Report regularly on progress, cost and schedule metrics, procurement issues, safety or environmental concerns, design questions, potential impacts, and any issues requiring office support.
