Job summary

Subterra Utilities seeks an Underground Utility Foreman to lead field crews in underground installation, maintenance, and repair projects across Texas. You will direct daily activities, manage manpower and equipment, and ensure safety, quality workmanship, and on-time completion.

The role requires coordinating with project management, overseeing trenching and restoration tasks, and maintaining productive, compliant operations on active sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underground utility construction experience.
• Previous Foreman or lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise underground utility crews on active projects.
• Plan daily work activities based on project schedules, plans, and site conditions.
• Assign tasks to crew members and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
• Provide hands-on direction and training to crew members as needed.
• Communicate daily progress and equipment needs to the Project Manager or Superintendent.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation.
