Job summary

M5 Utilities in Boerne, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing underground utilities team and help organize projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has interest and experience in underground utility construction and will assist in coordinating budgeting, permitting, material procurement, and job-cost tracking across multiple projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 3 years in general contracting, site work, underground utility, or related experience.
PMP or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
Experience with MS Office and construction/project management software.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate effectively.

Responsibilities

Leads an interdepartmental team to complete projects on time, to specs, and with accuracy.
Ensure accurate monthly pay applications are submitted.
Outline tasks and delegate accordingly.
Conduct cost analyses and prepare budgets.
Conduct risk assessments; mitigation recommendations.
Serve as liaison between company, customers, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
