Job summary

M5 Utilities in Boerne, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing underground utilities team. This role will help organize and oversee construction projects from start to finish, coordinating with field crews, suppliers, and customers.

You will lead an interdepartmental team, manage project costs, prepare budgets, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on assigned projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Building Science) or equivalent.
• 1. Minimum 3 years experience in general contracting, site work, underground utilities, or related.
• 2. PMP or comparable project management certification highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Leads interdepartmental team to complete projects on time, to specs, and with efficiency.
• Ensures accurate monthly pay applications are submitted for all assigned projects.
• Outlines tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
• Conducts job cost analyses and estimates expected project costs.
• Prepares and implements budgets based on awarded estimates.
• Conducts risk assessments and reports risks with mitigation recommendations.
• Addresses questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project.
• Acts as liaison between company, customers, and vendors/subcontractors.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations and standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

M5 Utilities is a fast growing underground utilities company in Boerne Tx looking for talented motivated people. We are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Project Manager to join our growing team. This applicant must have interest and experience in Underground Utility Construction.

Job Summary

The Construction Project Manager will organize and oversee construction projects from start to finish.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Manages a team of Assistant Project Managers to ensure project planning, permitting, material procurement, job-cost tracking, and other APM duties are being performed.

• Oversees Production Reports & Superintendents to ensure projects are completed on budget and to built to plan specifications.
• Delegate assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, project schedules, and other project requirements.
• Manages and develops performance for Assistant Project Managers

Duties/Responsibilities

• Leads an interdepartmental team to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.

Education and Experience

• PMP, and/or comparable project management certifications highly desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
