Job summary

M5 Utilities is seeking a Safety Manager to lead and enforce safety programs for underground utility construction projects across Texas. Focus areas include excavation/trenching safety, confined spaces, heavy equipment operations, and regulatory compliance; promote a safety-first culture on Texas sites.

This onsite role requires travel between jobsites; you will conduct audits, lead investigations, deliver training, and coordinate with project teams and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of safety management experience in underground utilities, civil, or heavy construction.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in excavation and trenching safety, confined spaces, and heavy equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite safety programs and enforce safety policies across underground utility projects.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety procedures compliant with OSHA and state/local rules.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
