Schroeder-Manatee Ranch is seeking a Utilities Locator to accurately identify, locate, and mark underground utilities, ensuring safe excavation and compliance with regulations. The role uses GIS, EM/radar, and GPS tools and supports BRU pump stations and field operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing plans, preparing diagrams, marking lines, and maintaining records. The position requires physical capability and after-hours on-call readiness, with a Monday–Friday schedule in Florida.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift to 80 pounds.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong communication and public relations skills.
• Comfort using computers and mobile devices.
• Highly motivated with good problem solving.

Responsabilités

• Provide utility locates and field locates per FL Sunshine Services.
• Analyze blueprints, as-builts, construction plans and GIS maps to determine utility locations.
• Use EM, radar and GPS equipment to detect and mark underground utilities.
• Prepare diagrams and sketches showing utility line locations.
• Mark utility lines with paint and flags to industry standards.
• Compile data into reports and maintain accurate records.
• Review field locate tickets and respond as required.
• Assist with BRU pump stations and well pump systems maintenance.
