Job summary

Ecotech Hydro Excavation is seeking a Subsurface Utilities Technician to locate and document underground utilities using GPR, EM wand, and push camera, delivering accurate data in outdoor field conditions.

You will maintain safety standards, complete time entries, and communicate progress to supervision, with flexible hours including overtime or emergency response.

Requires 0-3 years of utility locating experience, maps interpretation, OSHA 40/HAZWOPER preferred, and a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of utility locating experience required with knowledge of underground utility systems and locating methods.
• Ability to read and interpret maps, plans, prints, and as-builts.
• OSHA 40 HAZWOPER and OSHA 10 Construction preferred.
• A valid drivers license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate utility locating equipment including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Electromagnetic Wand, and Push Camera.
• Accurately document field work, utility findings, work orders, and time entries.
• Perform utility locating services safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Complete assigned work efficiently while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Identify mechanical issues in the field to Foreman/leadership
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, overtime, and emergency response.
