Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure seeks a Damage Prevention Specialist I to identify, locate and mark subsurface utilities for safe excavation. You will map underground utilities, collect GPS data, and work across varied terrains and weather with strict safety compliance.

Expected pay ranges from $25.00 to $28.00 per hour; the role is on-site with full-time hours. Minimum experience in locating utilities and a valid driver's license are required. Training and evaluations will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience locating underground utilities required.
• SiteWise entry level basic locating training up to 45 days.
• Entry level HIP technician with field audits and basic standby exposure.
• Equivalent education/experience considered; minimum 1 year in described roles.

Responsibilities

• Utilize locate tools and equipment for proper use, storage and upkeep.
• Collect GPS data to map underground utilities, including gas, electric, water, sewer.
• Locate and mark natural gas pipelines.
• Document excavation site data, potholes and cross-bores accurately.
• Interpret maps and blueprints to identify underground facilities.
• Update and photograph site maps; complete documentation per SOP.
• Communicate with supervision, support teams and clients; follow safety rules.
