Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Damage Prevention Specialist I to identify, locate, and mark subsurface utilities to prevent damage during construction. The role requires traversing varied terrain in all weather, collecting GPS data, and updating maps of underground utilities.

You will also document field findings, communicate with supervision, and maintain safety records. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required, with on-site responsibilities across multiple terrains.

Qualifications

• Experience locating underground utilities required.
• SiteWise entry level basic locating training up to 45 days.
• Entry level HIP technician including screening locate request and interpreting prints.
• Equivalent mix of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes locate tools for proper use, storage, and upkeep.
• Collect GPS pinpointed data to map locates of underground utilities.
• Locating and marking of natural gas pipelines.
• Completes all work in a timely, organized manner per SOP.
