Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure seeks a Damage Prevention Specialist I to identify, locate, and mark subsurface utilities to minimize damage during construction excavation activities in diverse terrains and weather conditions. You will collect GPS data, map utilities, and use various locate tools while maintaining safety and thorough documentation.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team; prior locating experience

Qualifications

• Experience locating underground utilities is a plus but not required.
• SiteWise entry level basic locating training (up to 45 days).
• Entry level HIP technician with basic field processes training.

Responsibilities

• Identify, locate and mark subsurface utilities to prevent damage during excavation.
• Collect GPS data to map underground utilities.
• Locate and mark natural gas pipelines.
• Document and map utility locations with maps/blueprints.
• Operate locate tools and document status using laptops or devices.
• Communicate with supervision and clients; ensure safety and accuracy.
