Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Damage Prevention Specialist I to identify, locate, and mark subsurface utilities to prevent service disruptions during excavation. This on-site role requires traversing varied terrains, operating locate tools, collecting GPS data, and collaborating with supervision and clients in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail.

• Able to traverse/inspect complex job sites in all conditions.

• Pass MVR and criminal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and maintain locate tools and equipment.
• Collect GPS data to map underground utilities.
• Locate and mark natural gas pipelines.
• Document excavation data and site photos.
• Interpret maps/blueprints to identify utilities.
• Map and update collection maps accurately.
• Complete work organized and timely per SOP.
• Transport and replace manhole lids.
• Use electronic devices to track excavation status.
• Communicate with supervision, support, and clients.
• Report field issues impacting safety.
• Perform duties in a SAFE manner.
