Job summary

Asplundh in Florida is seeking an Underground Foreperson to supervise daily crew operations, manage training, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. This full-time role involves coordinating with management to meet deadlines and maintain OSHA standards.

You will travel for storm assignments, inspect equipment, and document work progress while controlling costs and maintaining good customer relations.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Willingness to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after receiving orders.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew.
• Enforces safety practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Communicates with property owner(s) about access and work scope.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains customer relations and reports on completed work.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Ensures DOT maintenance and inspection for vehicles.
• Keeps equipment and truck in good condition.
• Reports incidents and equipment breakdowns.
