Job summary

Arena Staffing is partnering with a confidential Southern California electrical and utility contractor to hire a Business Development Manager / Director, Underground & Dry Utilities. This seller-doer will grow an established operation, open new client relationships, and move awarded work into operations.

The role offers strong earnings upside, potential division leadership in the Western region, and an entrepreneurial environment with ownership involvement.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in underground utilities, dry utilities, joint trench, or related market.
• Proven success opening new customers and generating revenue.
• Strong relationships with Southern California builders, developers, GCs, utilities, municipalities, owners, or similar decision-makers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and originate new underground/dry-utility opportunities.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and convert opportunities into awarded work.
• Manage qualified pipeline and participate in scope, pricing, and preconstruction discussions.
• Review plans, estimates, and bid documents to understand project requirements and risks.
• Coordinate handoffs to estimating, PM, and field ops after award.
