Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Project Manager for underground wet utilities and heavy civil construction in Southern California. You will oversee planning, execution, and financial performance of projects in urban settings, coordinating with field teams, clients, and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires managing water, sewer, storm drain, pipeline, and related utility projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years managing underground wet utility construction projects for a self-performing contractor.
• Strong understanding of underground construction methods and utility installation.
• Experience reading plans, specs, contracts, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall direction, execution, and successful completion of underground utility projects up to $10 million.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Coordinate with field operations, owners, and subs to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Review bid packages, budgets, scope, and project expectations with estimating teams.
• Maintain relationships with owners, municipalities, and client representatives.
• Prepare subcontract agreements and procurement documents; negotiate changes.
