Job summary

Redpath is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering support for underground development, mass excavation and construction projects. Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, resourcing, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects to ensure accuracy and quality.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mining, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering and 3-5 years of mining experience, with strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills. Travel and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years' experience in a mining environment.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Ability to prepare and review change orders and ensure technical requirements are met.
• Experience with underground mine development and shaft sinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, coordination, procurement, and management of the design and engineering process.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and safety standards.
• Identify and correct daily operational problems and take action.
• Prepare daily reports on underground mine development.
• Provide technical, quality, and environmental control of the works.
