Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a Field Technician - Underground to support customers operating underground mining equipment across Arizona and assigned territories. The role is based in Tucson or Phoenix, AZ, with frequent travel to active sites and a mix of above/below ground work.

You will apply strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair hard rock underground equipment, focusing on LHD loaders, underground loaders and bolters, while following safety policies

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training.
Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair various Komatsu equipment with a main focus on hard rock underground.
Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the field.
Complete assigned jobs to meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
