Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly motivated Field Technician - Underground Mining to support customers operating underground mining equipment across assigned territories. This role emphasizes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting on heavy equipment, with frequent travel to customer sites and work both above and below ground in underground environments.

Based in Tucson or Phoenix AZ, you will maintain and repair equipment, follow safety policies, complete paperwork, and uphold

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 2 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination.
Certified to operate a forklift and/or manlift.
MSHA surface and underground certification may be required.
DOT physical and respirator certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair underground mining equipment with a focus on hard rock systems.
Perform timely, effective repairs of machine components in the field.
Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet standards and metrics.
Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS) accurately.
Adhere to contamination control practices and HAZMAT rules.
