Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly motivated Field Technician - Underground to support customers operating underground mining equipment across Arizona and other assigned territories. The role requires strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills and frequent travel to sites, including above and below ground environments.

The candidate should be based in Tucson or Phoenix, AZ, with the ability to work onsite and uphold safety policies while maintaining equipment availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various Komatsu equipment with a main focus on hard rock underground.
• Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the Field.
• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases require to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
