Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly motivated Field Technician - Underground Mining to support customers operating underground mining equipment across Arizona and assigned territories. This role requires frequent travel to sites and the ability to work both above and below ground in underground environments.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience on heavy equipment in mining or related industries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various Komatsu equipment with a main focus on hard rock underground.
• Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the Field.
• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
