Job summary

Komatsu is seeking a highly motivated Field Technician - Underground Mining to support customers operating underground mining equipment across Arizona and adjacent regions. The role emphasizes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills, with frequent travel to customer sites and work in underground environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (per ad).
• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work.
• Clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Komatsu underground equipment with focus on hard rock underground.
• Timely, effective repairs of machine components in the Field.
• Complete assigned jobs within flat rate times and update relevant metrics.
• Follow KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work orders, parts orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW).
• Diagnose problems, provide repair recommendations and verify operation after service.
• Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.
