Job summary

Canyon Fuel Company in Utah is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for an underground coal mining operation. You will direct a continuous miner section, supervise crews, and ensure safe, productive shifts aligned with mine plans and MSHA requirements.

Key focus areas include safety leadership, production optimization, and effective communication with maintenance, engineering, and management. You will report to the Shift Coordinator and drive operational excellence on your assigned shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of underground coal mining experience.
• Current Utah Underground Foreman Papers (MSHA Foreman Certification required).
• Knowledge of continuous miner mining methods and section operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to supervise and motivate crews in an underground mining environment.
• Willingness to rotate shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all production activities on the continuous miner section.
• Monitor section performance and optimize productivity.
• Maintain compliance with MSHA regulations and safety policies.
• Coordinate with maintenance, safety, and operations teams.
• Prepare shift handoffs and production reports.
