Job summary

Barminco is seeking a Maintenance Foreman for a project located 65 miles outside of Elko, Nevada. The role reports to the Project Manager and will supervise the on-site maintenance team, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently and aligned with Barminco standards.

Expect a 16-days on / 12-days off rotation with camp and meals provided. The successful candidate will lead safety, quality and equipment performance while coordinating with central support teams to deliver value to the project.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years underground mining experience in high-speed, high-production environments.
• Knowledge of Barminco operations and KPI for high-speed development equipment.
• Understanding of equipment operating systems to reduce downtime.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience as Maintenance Foreman or Supervisor in underground mining.
• MSHA Certification of Training.
• Formal mechanical trade recognition (certificate of achievement).
• Must be respirator ready.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance department performance against safety, quality, and equipment metrics.
• Foster a positive safety, quality, and performance culture.
• Manage component replacements, rebuilds, and inventory adjustments.
• Provide leadership and set standards for on-site maintenance teams.
• Ensure effective incident investigations and safety leadership.
• Utilize management systems to monitor performance and client expectations.
• Develop action plans to meet performance targets and escalate issues when needed.
• Collaborate with central support teams to drive safety, cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Build strong relationships with the mining department to maximize productivity.
• Monitor site maintenance budget to avoid overspending.
