Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is hiring a Class B Lineman Underground in Florida. This safety-focused role involves constructing and repairing underground distribution systems on energized and de-energized lines.

Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, may be required, with reporting to the Foreman. Responsibilities include live-line work with PPE, installation and repair of underground facilities, fault locating, and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Three years of recent underground line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems, energized or de-energized.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot and locate faults on primary/secondary systems.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding, and voltage isolation procedures with proper PPE and tools.
• Understand when to obtain a one shot on a reclosing device.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment.
