Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, Inc. seeks an Underground Lineperson to join our crew in Mooresville, NC. This role supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground power systems with safety-first practices and a strong team orientation.

You will direct crew activities, work in trenches and manholes, troubleshoot energized and de-energized circuits, and lead operations when the Foreperson is unavailable. We offer year-round employment and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must read/interpret prints and maps accurately.
• Able to solve problems with unknown on-site conditions.
• Wear approved Fire Retardant clothing and PPE as required.
• Carry and maintain a valid CDL driver's license.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Directs and assists crew with setting poles and anchors.
• Directs and assists crew with installing transformers and related gear.
• Directs and assists crew with troubleshooting faults in primary/secondary systems.
• Lead crew in absence of Foreperson and ensure safety compliance.
• Work in underground manholes and trenches and maintain safe conditions.
• Ensure equipment and materials are loaded and used correctly on-site.
• Maintain and test tools and equipment for safe operation.
• Ability to travel for emergency storm work when required.
