Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in Raleigh, North Carolina seeks an Underground Lineman Apprentice 3-8 to support the construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical systems. You will work with skilled linemen on distribution and transmission projects, following strict safety protocols and industry standards.

You will assist with installation, maintenance, trenching, and equipment setting, and help Journeymen Linemen and Foremen.

Qualifications

Experience consistent with Underground Lineman Apprentice Levels 3–8.
Valid driver’s license required.
CDL preferred or required depending on apprentice level and project needs.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground electrical distribution systems.
Perform underground cable installation, conduit placement, trenching, and related utility construction activities.
Assist with setting transformers, pedestals, vaults, and other underground electrical equipment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in underground utility construction.
Load, unload, stage, and organize materials and equipment at job sites.
Assist Journeymen Linemen, Foremen, and other field leadership as directed.
Follow all company and job-site safety policies and procedures.
Participate in daily job briefings, safety meetings, and required training.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Perform physical labor in varying weather and job-site conditions.
Work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as required by project needs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
