Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Memphis, TN, seeks a Foreman to lead a crew constructing and repairing underground electrical distribution systems on energized and de-energized lines. You may travel to various job sites as needed and report to the General Foreman.

The role emphasizes safety, crew coaching, and ensuring project quality and deadlines, including installation and troubleshooting of underground facilities, and performing live-line work with proper PPE.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of underground line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized underground distribution systems while putting safety first.
• Lead crew members and conduct pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
• Coach and train lower classification employees in safe procedures.
• Oversee work and ensure quality and deadlines for each project.
• Install and repair underground facilities and conductors; troubleshoot faults.
• Understand switching and tagging, grounding and induced voltage on energized and de-energized lines with proper PPE.
• Know when to obtain a one shot on a reclosing device.
• Work in confined spaces near energized equipment.
• Operate and maintain excavation equipment (backhoes, trenchers, excavators, pulling equipment).
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions; outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Perform live-line work using PPE and insulated sticks; follow safety protocols.
