Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry-level Underground Equipment Operator to work on construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems. The role involves travel to various locations and may require work in different states depending on customer demands.

Responsibilities include safely performing work on energized/de-energized systems, assisting with transformer installations, and handling protective PPE and equipment.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to work for extended periods in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe construction, maintenance or repair of energized underground distribution systems.
• Assist with installing underground transformers.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clearing faulted circuits and systems.
• Operate and maintain underground equipment and tools.
• Work outside in inclement weather and at heights or in confined spaces.
