Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Underground Equipment Operator to join our electrical distribution team. The role involves working at various locations and may require travel to other states based on customer needs.

Responsibilities include safely performing construction, maintenance and repair on underground systems, assisting with transformers, fuses, and faulted circuits, and maintaining equipment and PPE.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate safely on underground electrical distribution work, both energized and de-energized.
• Assist with installing underground transformers and replacing fuses in transformers.
• Assist in faulted circuit clearance and understand basic rigging and hand tools.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and PPE, and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Capable of working outside in inclement weather and at heights or in confined spaces.
