Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an Underground Crew Leader to oversee skilled work in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. The role requires leadership, safety-first supervision, and the ability to train lower skilled workers in safe, productive methods.

Candidates must be able to travel, lift heavy loads, and perform in varied weather; overtime, weekends, and out-of-town assignments may be required.

Qualifications

• CDL and safe driving demonstrated.
• Ability to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift 50 lbs+ and perform outdoors in varied weather.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.
• Experience supervising a crew in underground distribution work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew members and coordinate work of the crew.
• Lead and train lower skilled employees in safe procedures.
• Plan safe work based on job prints or work orders.
• Inspect and maintain PPE, tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company procedures.
• Perform pre-job tailgate briefings and field inspections.
• Identify and locate voltage, grounding procedures, and line clearances.
• Work on energized and de-energized underground distribution systems.
• Complete required company paperwork and reporting.
