Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an Underground Crew Leader in North Carolina to oversee the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. You will lead a crew, supervise daily activities, and ensure safety and compliance on energized and de-energized work sites.

The role requires knowledge of underground distribution, ability to train lower skilled employees, and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays if needed.

Qualifications

• Leads underground distribution teams and ensures safety procedures are followed.
• Able to conduct pre-job briefings and coordinate crew activities.
• Capable of identifying voltage and understanding grounding procedures.
• Willing to travel and work extended hours including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crew members and coordinate their work in underground distribution tasks.
• Conduct pre-job or tailgate briefings.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles, equipment, and PPE.
• Troubleshoot issues on underground circuits and ensure safe operation around energized systems.
