Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a safety-focused Cable Splicer to construct and repair underground electrical systems for energized and de-energized lines. The role involves travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-state locations, with supervision by the Foreman.

The compensation range is $37.01–$47.99 per hour. Responsibilities include leading crew members in the absence of the EIC, mentoring apprentices, installing underground power components, and performing live-line work using proper

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of underground experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized underground systems with safety first.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair underground power, conductors and related hardware.
• Apply tagging, grounding and voltage safety procedures on energized and de-energized lines.
• Work in confined spaces and near energized equipment.
• Operate backhoe, bucket trucks, digger trucks and mini excavator.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at varying job sites.
• Be available for outages, storms, emergencies and on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulation to manage potential differences.
