Job summary

Skypace is seeking an Independent Freight Agent specializing in Ocean Export for Agricultural Commodities based out of Long Beach. This commission-only role offers uncapped earnings with a 30% commission on gross profit for the first year, followed by sunset rates. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of experience in ocean freight sales, alongside established client relationships.

The position demands fluency in export terminology and a proactive approach to handling logistics, tracking milestones, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the shipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ocean freight sales with verifiable client relationships among LA Basin Agricultural Commodities exporters.
• Lane fluency out of the Port of Long Beach.
• Fluency in export freight vocabulary including booking and equipment allocation at origin.

Responsibilities

• Grow and expand a portfolio of LA Basin Agricultural Commodities exporter accounts.
• Partner with procurement and account management teams to build competitive service proposals.
• Track attribution in CRM from day one of activation.
