Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Risk Recognition in Reston, VA. You will monitor and patrol, deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns at a technology-focused site. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, and a welcoming environment.

Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing background and drug screenings. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including the business perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct guests as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; document actions and notify site leadership.
• Complete detailed activity and incident reports and shift logs.
