Job summary

Allied Universal is recruiting a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Reston, VA. You will serve clients across tech, media and telecom sectors, perform routine unarmed patrols, deter incidents, and report security concerns while delivering exceptional customer service.

You must be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass a background check and drug screen, meet licensing requirements as required, and have a valid driver's license if driving is

Qualifications

• Observational and reporting skills to monitor and document security-related events.
• Strong communication to liaise with staff, visitors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entry points, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
