Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Reston, VA. You will safeguard clients across Tech/Media/Telecom locations, perform unarmed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories per laws.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regs; may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entry points, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate daily activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
