Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Reporting Specialist) in Columbus, OH. You will monitor and patrol data center facilities, provide exceptional customer service, and document security activities using tablet tools in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include security procedures, access control, incident response, and clear communication with site leadership.

Qualifications

Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background investigation as a condition of employment.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of data center facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access control points and verify visitor, contractor, and delivery authorization per site procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate contacts and emergency responders.
Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.
