Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Unarmed in Columbia, SC to protect clients across industries. You will conduct routine patrols, monitor entrances, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license and at least two years of security experience; you must be 18 or older and pass background and drug tests. The schedule is full-time with evening shifts. Opportunities for training and advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Two years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per policy.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted per federal/state/local laws.
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while enforcing site security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following emergency protocols.
• Prepare clear reports of patrols and incidents for site leadership.
