Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed Patrol Support) in New York, NY. You will provide security services at a technology, media, and telecommunications site, conducting patrols, monitoring access, and supporting a welcoming environment.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and adherence to safety policies. This full-time position includes career growth, benefits, and access to smart shift tools.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Report security-related concerns, policy violations, hazards, and suspicious activity to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.
