Job summary

Allied Universal in Blissfield, MI is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Access Control to monitor production areas, control access points, and deter security incidents at a manufacturing site. The role emphasizes customer service and a visible security presence during Day and Night shifts.

You will conduct patrols, verify credentials, document observations, and respond calmly to alarms or incidents. Minimum requirements include HS diploma, background check, and ability to obtain required

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain required logs, and report security-related observations and incidents according to site procedures.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence while supporting a secure, orderly environment for personnel and operations.
