Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Officer in Norfolk, VA. You will monitor and patrol government waterfront locations, provide excellent customer service, and stay highly visible to deter security incidents. The role offers full-time hours and a pay rate of $17.65 per hour.

Responsibilities include access control, incident response, and thorough reporting. Applicants should be at least 18 years old, have a HS diploma, and be prepared for background checks and a drug

Qualifications

• Must have a TSA issued TWIC.
• Guard card/license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following post orders and site policies at a government location.
• Conduct routine and random foot and/or vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards.
• Monitor access points and support access control by checking IDs and directing visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Complete clear documentation such as patrol logs, incident and shift activity reports, and share updates with supervisors.
